Traveller

You’ve reached the voicemail of Zenobia Peoples. I’m away from the office and will be unavailable to the phone beginning Friday, February 29, through Tuesday March 18. During this time I will not be checking messages. Therefore, if your call is urgent, please dial 0 to speak with the operator and you will be directed to someone else.
But wait a minute. Since you called me, I just want to tell you where I’ll be for the next three weeks. Tomorrow morning I’m boarding a plane to Hawaii. My bags are packed and I am ready! In fact, my entire family is ready. Everyone is going except our beagle, Max.

We’ll stay three weeks on three different islands, relaxing, touring, swimming and just plain chilling. We’ve rented fully staffed villas on each island and also arranged for drivers so that we can tour the islands at our convenience.

We have a chef on staff at each house also, but I still made a few dinner reservations, so that we can check out some restaurants that have been recommended to us. I could go on, but I’ll just tell you more upon our return.

Yes, this is a fairly costly vacation, given the accommodations that we’ll use. But life is short. So why wait? And because of additional money that I’ve earned with my online travel agency, http://www.traveruscashmachine.com, we have the extra funds to travel first class. Plus it doesn’t hurt that I can write the entire vacation off our taxes when we come back home because of my travel agency business! See you when I get back to work.

Central Acehnese people told to create more Tourist Attracting Events

Central Aceh District Chief Nasaruddin here Wednesday called on people in the region to organize more cultural attractions and events to attract tourists. Nasaruddin said the beauty of many of the district`s natural sceneries and its unique culture would be useless if the local people did not offer extraordinary attractions or events such as volley ball competitions or horse races.

Central Aceh covers a total area of 4,500 square kilometers and has a population of almost 130,000 people. The district has a number of plantations of crops requiring a cool temperature like coffee and pineapple which could also serve as agro-tourism attractions.

Central Aceh also has Lake Laut Tawar which could generate income for the locals if tourist lodgings were built in its immediate sorroundings.

"Therefore, I hope the local community can keep Lake Laut Tawar clean and also give vistors a better understanding about Syari`ah (Islamic law) that is being implemented all over Aceh," Nasaruddin added.

One example of Syari`ah is that a boy and a girl who are not related by blood or marriage (muhrim), are not allowed to be together in an isaloted place without someone else accompanying.(*)

Guided Tours Around Venice

It is balanced between sky and ground, charming and unique in its kind: this is Venice, the city of lovers, of channels, of "gondole". Come to discover the lagoon city, one of the most beautiful places in Italy and in the world!!! At last it is available on aboutvenice.org a section about the booking of tours in the city and in its museums and monuments. This way, you will be able to organise your journey in Venice right from your home and you will also have the possibility to choose when and what to visit. Before leaving, find out how to get around the narrow streets of the city, where to sleep and
where to eat.

On aboutvenice.org you will be able to find all the helpful advices you need to visit the Lagoon trouble-free.You will stroll around the six Sestieri of Venice and the Canal Grande. You will visit the Ponte dei sospiri (Bridge of Sighs) and all the other venetian attractivenesses. You can book by yourself, directly from your home, a suggestive tour on the Canal Grande on a luxurious motorboat and discover this way the hidden corners of the Lagoon. You can't miss to visit Palazzo Ducale, a masterpiece of gothic art and historical place of the city.
Through the booking system, available on aboutvenice.org, you will be able to organise your tour, so that once you will be in Venice you will avoid queues, making this way a more relaxing holiday. For example, if you only got one day to visit Venice, thanks to aboutvenice.org you will have the possibility to book a special tour called "Venezia in un giorno" (Venice in a day), by which you will be able to combine the characteristic walk through the streets of Venice to a boat trip on the Canal Grande.
But to those who have the good fortune to take a longer stay in our charming city, we suggest the tour of Sestieri. Leaving by motorboat from the square of San Marco, your first stop will be the isle of Murano, where you will be fascinated by the old art of Glass Makers. The tour continues then in the isle of Burano, with its colourful and charming houses, and it ends in the isle of Torcello, where you will be able to visit its wonderful Cathedral, which is immersed in an atmosphere that still recalls the Venice of yore. For the most demanding ones, it will be possible to book private and personalised tourist city tours. If you are interested in a more intimate tour, then you can get the water-taxi that will make you see the most beautiful palaces and churches of Venice, sailing under the most suggestive bridges of the city. To the more sentimental ones we suggest a romantic tour by the gondola with the accompaniment of serenades to better appreciate the enchanted atmosphere of the city of lovers, while the lovers of walks can choose between a range of Walking Tours in the lagoon, from the most touristic places, like San Marco's square and the sestiero of Castello, to the most hidden places of past and modern Venice among the craftsmen's quarters of the old red district of Venice. Also the walks in the Sestiero of San Pol are very beautiful. This Sestiero is traditionally considered the commercial quarter of the city. For lovers of art and architecture there is a "ad hoc" tour that will directly deep you in the artistic beauties of Venice. For lovers of photography there is also the Photography walking Tour. What else to say...even the laziest one will find something suitable for his/her needs. What are you waiting for...look up aboutvenice.org right now and plan your journey in Venice...you won't regret it!!!

Paradise In the World

If your idea of paradise is a pristine tropical island with swaying palm trees and pure white beaches surrounded by crystalline lagoons of varying shades of blue - then the Maldives Islands will definitely fit the bill. Sunny, unique and unspoiled, the islands of Maldives offers you sunshine, no matter what time of the year you decide to visit the Maldives - islands that are truly heaven on Earth. Rising from the deep blue of the vast expanse of the Indian Ocean are more than a thousand islands and thousands more reefs that form the Maldives. You can choose any of the ninety resorts islands across the Maldives for your honeymoon or holiday stay; allowing yourself the freedom to explore everything is amazing tropical wonderland has to offer.

Islands & Atolls

Maldives is made up of a chain of 1190 small coral islands that are grouped into 26 atolls (80 islands resorts and 200 inhabited islands). 'Faru' or ring-shaped reef structures form the atolls and these provide natural defense against wind and wave action, on the delicate Maldives islands. The capital of Maldives - Male, the seat of government and the centre of trade, commerce, business, health and education, is located in the middle of the atoll chain, a small island buzzing with the sounds and activities of more than 150,000 people which is more than one third of the population. An indication of the perfection of Maldives atoll structure is the fact that the word 'atoll' in the English Language - meaning 'ring-shaped coral reef enclosing a lagoon', is a borrowing from the Maldivian language 'Dhivehi'.

Island Resorts

Maldives tourism has been rapidly growing the number of tourist arrivals and resorts islands over the last ten year period. All new resorts are subject to a rigorous environmental impact study and developers are allowed to build on only 20% of the islands. Beautiful resorts offer facilities from thrill-seeking water-sports to revitalising spas and overwater villas, perfect for enjoying an Indian Ocean sunset. Many resorts feature private villas with glass bottom floors perched directly over the water. All the resorts are self contained so they have at least one restaurant, which generally serve the type of cuisine expected by their guests.

Diving

The diving ranks among the world's best. A sunbather's paradise, the Maldives offer some of the world's best deserted beaches, while lagoons, filled with three quarters of the world's reef fish species, provide spectacular diving and snorkelling. If you plan to go diving or engage in other water sports, you should check that your insurance policy covers these.

Conclusion

Regardless if you are on your honeymoon or taking a family vacation you can guarantee you will find a number of things to do while visiting the Maldives. It is no wonder that a large percentage of tourists who come to the Maldives Islands are repeat visitors - people who came once and fell so in love with the place that they simple had to come again.
